Your project management tool needs to be powerful, have features made for your team and, most importantly, make you better at work. Is Asana doing that for you? Let’s take a look.
In Produck you can create folders and subfolders to organize all your projects and sprints. Asana has a single level of hierarchy and just group by teams.
Allow your team to collaborate on the same task and work together with multiple assignments.
Granular user permissions
On Produck you can define what each member can view or edit. Asana has only 2 user permissions, edit or comment only.
Release Reports & Burndown Charts
Produck Reports & Charts are automatically created on each sprint. They’re contextual and live-updated. Asana has no reports at all.
Inline rich-text editor for descriptions
Add fully-formatted (same as a Google Doc) requirements on each task so no one misses it! And Asana? Nothing!
Project portfolio management
Every folder has its own dashboard displaying an overview of nested projects and sprints. Asana offers a Portfolio Management, but at double of the price than their Premium plan.
Gantt-Chart & Calendar
Asana offers a beautiful gantt-chart style timeline. At Produck, we are working to provide a similar experience in the near future.
Instead of saying “please review the file wireframes_revised-32.zip,” just say “check this out:” and drop your file below.
Visualize tasks by groups
Within a project’s list view, you can group tasks by: Status, Priority, Assignee, Sprint, Type, or Labels. With Asana you can do this, but only by Assignee.
Epics and Nested epics
Have nested epics, creating different levels of hierarchy within your tasks. Asana has sub-tasks instead of epics.
Any task (including epics) can belong to multiple projects for when you need different teams on different projects to take care of it. Both Produck and Asana are doing this similarly.
Easily switch between list and board view
Visualize tasks as a list or quickly switch to Kanban boards view by clicking on the views toggle. On Asana you need to create a new project.
Intuitive and beautiful interface
Both Produck and Asana created a tool that has the simplicity and beauty everyone enjoys. Although Asana is focused on general public, while Produck is focussed on Product teams.
Statuses, labels, priorities, estimates
Produck provides everything out of the box, while Asana requires you to figure things out by yourself.
Besides projects, on produck you can use Sprints to organize your teams. As asana does focus on product teams, they don’t offer anything similar to sprints.
Ease of use
Ease of Admin
At the end of the day, it’s not just about the set of features a product offers but the experience and value it provides, and that’s exactly why Produck is better than Asana. If you want a tool focused on product teams that helps you get serious work done with powerful features under the hood, and that makes you more efficient at work, you just use Produck.
